Master Oak takes home the prestigious IWF Challengers Award
07/08/2024
A sustainable material that looks just like real oak, yet is three times more resistant to scratches? That's impressive, even overseas. Our Master Oak has won the internationally recognized IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award, presented at North America's largest woodworking trade show!
The best of both worlds
The IWF Challengers Awards recognize the most innovative developments in woodworking from the current generation. And now, Master Oak is on that list: a leading finishing material for doors, walls, and furniture with melamine-faced panels or HPL.
Master Oak stood out among over 90 entries thanks to its strong resemblance to real oak, made possible by our patented Timber Touch Technology. This technology offers 20 times more depth and texture than standard surfaces and a unique matte finish, making it indistinguishable from natural wood or veneer, even to professionals. The major advantage? Master Oak combines the best of both worlds: the warm appearance of wood with the exceptional quality of melamine and HPL. As such, Master Oak is also scratch-resistant, colorfast, and low-maintenance.
“Thanks to its design, quality, and responsible production, Master Oak is one of the most remarkable innovations in the industry. The IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award is a well-deserved recognition of that.”

Sustainably produced
In addition to its functional and aesthetic benefits, Master Oak has even more to offer. The wood in our particleboard is 100% recovered and even 95% recycled. Additionally, 25% of the fibers in our MDF will be replaced with recycled wood fibers by 2030. This makes Master Oak not only a budget-friendly but also a sustainable alternative to wood.Curious to see how Master Oak comes to life in practice? Check out some impressive projects here.
