Master Oak brings soul to Toronto's Occhiolino

Can a material change the way you feel in a space? For Canadian creative partners Guido Costantino and Domenica Rodà, absolutely. And for their latest busy pasta restaurant project, they chose Unilin Master Oak. Warm, textured and scratch-resistant, Master Oak (light natural) turned out to be the perfect surface paneling for a bustling pasta restaurant in Toronto, Canada.

Tech firm opts for vintage vibes with modern materials

Time to head back to the 1960s, where the style of Mad Men reigns? It is not what you might expect when setting foot inside a software company – at least not at first – yet the new office of Synappse offers a subtle nod to the iconic retro style of days gone by. That is, with a modern twist: the interior consists of sleek furnishings made of innovative HPL and melamine-faced chipboards. In other words? Material that stands the test of time.

Master Oak checks in at renovated Lufthansa lounge

What if the premium feel of a Lufthansa flight didn’t begin on board, but already at the gate? That’s precisely the idea behind the airline’s new lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport in New York. Step inside the 600 m² space and you’ll be welcomed by warm oak tones, soft lighting and a streamlined layout—that brings the elegance of their aircraft interiors to the ground.

At the heart of the new look? Our bestseller Unilin Master Oak Light Natural. Used throughout the lounge, the material adds a calming, natural touch to the busy airport environment. It looks and feels exactly like oak veneer, but comes with extra’s: better scratch resistance, easy maintenance and a more budget-friendly alternative to veneer or solid wood.

Clyde & Co chooses character with Master Oak

In Warsaw, Clyde & Co's office strikes the perfect balance between form and feeling — crisp in design, yet warm in atmosphere. Its modernist lines set the tone, but it’s Master Oak that defines the mood. The natural texture brings life to the interior and blends seamlessly with the cool, classy 1930s vibe.

Master Oak in architect's modern home

Master Oak takes centre stage in architect self-designed home

The best way to add warmth to a sleek and contemporary home? For Canadian architect Winda Lau, principal of Studio Lau Architects, wood is no longer the obvious choice. After discovering Master Oak’s versatility and charm, her takeaway is clear: “Master Oak is now one of my top material choices for bringing wood tones into our projects.”

Stylish wood design exudes luxury in premium hotel in Zaventem

Less is more? In the world of ‘quiet luxury’ this is common knowledge. Hotel Mövenpick makes a stylish statement with a choice for warm wood decors that run through the building like a red thread. From the fitness area to the (bath)rooms: thanks to the perfect colour and design match, Valley Ash Sunlit Brown connects every corner of the hotel.

The warm wood decors show their versatility in every space and in various guises. The furniture and walls of the rooms are finished in Clicwall and HPL. In the hallways HPL was used - also for the doors - and special attention was paid to fire safety: the fire-retardant HPL used on the walls complies with the strictest standards (fire classification B-s1,d0). And the bathrooms? That is where Clicwall makes all the difference: water-resistant and quick to install. This way Valley Ash Sunlit Brown imbues every space with a touch of luxury.
