How close can you live to nature without changing your postcode? In Vilnius, the second largest city in the Baltic states, there is a loft that reconciles city life with tranquillity. Walls and custom elements in Master Oak all bring the nearby national park indoors. Here, biophilic design is not a concept, but a feeling.
An interior that momentarily puts the city on mute: is that possible in an international city like Vilnius? Absolutely. On the top floor of the residential project Miško Ardai, Studio Archispektras created a penthouse that brings the peace and calm of nature inside without leaving the city. The warm wood texture of Master Oak light natural reflects the forest glimpsed through the windows. Every grain, every depth of the surface captures a piece of the landscape.

This loft perfectly illustrates what biophilic design is all about: not imitating nature, but integrating it. Neuroscientific research shows that wood in our living spaces promotes harmony, empathy and open communication. Master Oak has the same effect. The unique Timber Touch Technology recreates oak and veneer down to the smallest detail, in colour, depth and texture. In addition, the wood in our chipboard is 95% recycled.
