Thanks to a wide range of the company’s own materials, the new Unilin Flooring office building is almost a showroom in itself

A future-proof workplace that lives and breathes individuality – that’s how you could describe Unilin Flooring’s brand-new office in Wielsbeke, West Flanders. Under the motto of practise what you preach, the two office floors were consciously redesigned using the company’s own materials.

“For this project, we used a wide variety of products from the Unilin Decorative Range,” explains interior architect Hanne Seghers. “For example, we opted for Clicwall in various different shades: Oslo oak soft beige, Lorenzo walnut medium brown, Lime earth baked and Weave wool beige. In addition, with a view to the future, we installed modular wall systems in Front white, Elegant black and Silver blue. Flooring can easily replace them later to showcase new designs.”

“For the desks and table tops, in addition to Fibralux MR black super matt – a fingerprint-proof design with an MDF speckle – we selected Front white HPL and Italian walnut HPL. Together with Macchiato brown, the latter two designs are also found in the custom-built furniture. This provides a sense of calm and familiarity throughout the building.”

“We took a creative approach to the various designs and structures from the Decorative Range,” reveals Hanne. “In one of the rooms, we chose Weave wool beige, a design with a silky textile effect that looks blurred from a distance. Oslo oak soft beige was naturally indispensable too. This oak finish, combined with the different floors, creates a fresh and homely feeling.“The combinations are endless. All the different materials that were used form a harmonious whole. “We worked on the basis of a serene colour palette that perfectly matches the floor designs and the furniture. Chairs and other pieces of furniture can be easily exchanged between rooms. At the same time, the office is also subtly branded, with a nod to the deep blue and bright orange of Unilin Group here and there.”

Hanne looks back on the project with satisfaction. “It was quite a job to combine all the materials, but the results are excellent. Now, the Unilin Flooring team can work every day surrounded by their own products and designs. The office looks like a second showroom!”

  • Aluminium outer corner profile for Clicwall panels. Neat finish of outer corners in silver, white or black. For a seamless wall corner.

  • Decorative-Fibralux MR Black

  • These moisture-resistant MDF panels with a black-coloured core have a transparent lacquer coating. The natural fibres are nicely visible on the surface of the panel. Choose from three high-quality lacquer finishes: Super Matt, High Gloss or Satin.
