Is HPL moisture resistant?
Yes. HPL itself is a high-density laminate and therefore highly resistant to moisture and steam. For applications where prolonged moisture is a factor (bathrooms, toilets, wellness areas), it is best to choose:
- HPL bonded to a moisture-resistant substrate (e.g. moisture-resistant MDF or moisture-resistant chipboard)
- Correct edge finishing and sealing

Is HPL scratch-resistant?
Yes, HPL is naturally very hard and wear-resistant. This means that the surface remains attractive for a long time, even with intensive use.
Is HPL heat resistant?
Brief contact with warm objects is not a problem. For prolonged exposure to heat, we recommend using protective pads.
Which substrates are suitable for HPL?
All Unilin chipboard and MDF substrates, including moisture-resistant and fire-retardant variants.
Is HPL suitable for commercial use?
