A row of trees in the bright reception area literally brings nature indoors

Studio Groen+Schild converted Warnsveld’s old town hall into sustainable GGD offices

Studio Groen+Schild are experts in sustainable renovation. Soon after the architectural firm completed the renovation of Warnsveld’s former town hall, GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland moved in.

The brand-new offices of the Municipal Health Service (GGD) have an airy and natural appearance. That is certainly in part thanks to the light-wood Minnesota Oak warm natural design from the Unilin Decorative Range. The bright custom-made installations in HPL and melamine in perfect colour match – a large bookcase, a set of tables, and a selection of benches – complete the overall look.

But Studio Groen+Schild wanted to take it a step further by truly bringing nature indoors. How? By placing a row of bright green trees in the reception area. In this way, they allowed GGD’s theme – a healthy footing – to become part of the interior.
