Modern architecture blends in seamlessly with the woodland surroundings

Luxury and simplicity come together at Charlevoix Chalets in Quebec

Seamlessly integrating contemporary architecture into a breath-taking setting: that was the ambition of interior designer Architecture49 when designing Charlevoix Chalets. The country retreat looks out onto Saint Lawrence Bay and is located in the heart of Quebec’s woodlands. The mountainous setting and the river inspired the designers to blend the region’s typical farmhouse style with modern minimalism.

For the interior, the designers selected rustic materials such as dark steel and concrete floors, alternated with spacious white areas. In this way, the interior reflects the tranquillity of the woodland surroundings. UNILIN Dainty Oak was an obvious choice. This decorative panelling matches the colour and texture of authentic oak and blends timeless design with sustainability.
