European Commission approves wood merger between Unilin & Spano Group

Unilin, the panels division, manufactures chipboard and MDF panels, decorative panels and finished products. Spano is a leading manufacturer and distributor of chipboard and melamine boards. Following the take-over, the Spano Group will form an integral part of the Unilin Group, which is owned by the American flooring group Mohawk.

The transaction is expected to be completed by mid-May 2013.
