Addario Law Firm: A Master Oak transformation

Not every law office has to feel formal and corporate. For creative partners Guido Costantino and Domenica Rodà, of Guido Costantino Projects,   crafting a calm, comfortable space for a Duncan Street law firm was essential.

A Cocoon Of calm

While offices can often look slick and shiny, or simply utilitarian, Guido Costantino and Domenica Rodà opted to create a more natural environment for the law firm, featuring quiet spaces for contemplation.

The material that set the tone? Unilin Master Oak light natural, of course!

The space has the tactile quality of solid wood or oak veneer – even Premium Rift White Oak – but with the consistency and durability of Unilin Master Oak. The muted color and wood-like texture provide depth without overpowering the space. The result is an interior that feels warm, grounded and instantly comfortable.

We wanted a space where materials were allowed to breathe and dialogue harmoniously with each other, the new and the existing. We felt that this would extend to how people dialogue with the space and materiality,””

Guido Costantino

Quiet Design That Speaks Volumes

In a space where people collaborate strategically, negotiate and make crucial decisions, atmosphere matters. The creative partners believe that materials are the building blocks of atmosphere. That’s why every element – from layout to lighting to material – was chosen to support a contemplative environment while minimizing distraction.

Unilin Master Oak doesn’t try to steal the show in the law office but rather it subtly contributes to the sensory experience. A unifying material throughout the space, Master Oak enhances the quality of quietness of the space which matters so much to the design studio.

We appreciate a material which doesn’t draw attention but adds an emotional or sensory quality to space, a material that is felt more than seen””
