HPL and melamine panels with a stylish marble finish emerge from the colourful pastel palette of the Color Atelier hair salon

In the picturesque town of La Valette-du-Var, close to the Côte d'Azur, you will find Color Atelier, a hair salon with a distinctive name and an unusual interior. The salon's colour palette is as expansive as the countless number of hairstyles its hairdressers sculpt every day.

In 2020, Color Atelier's interior was given a new look by CT Création, with our Unilin Decorative Range proving the right collection for the job. “To compensate for the abundance of colours on show in the old interior, we opted for Carrara frosted white panels,” says Carl Tran, interior designer at CT Création. “The pure white marble design provides a pleasant contrast to the playful mix of pastel colours throughout the rest of the salon.”

Carl and his team chose to combine horizontal HPL sheets with vertical melamine panels – both high-quality and hard-wearing materials. “We then complemented the panels with matching edge tape, a finishing touch that makes for a tidy, sleek end result.”
