Clicwall heads to Norway’s edge: luxury lodges in Lofoten
30/07/2025
How do you create a high-end guest experience in one of Europe’s most remote locations? You let prefab construction do the heavy lifting, without compromising on premium materials – like Clicwall. The Lyngvær Resort in Norway’s Lofoten islands shows just how far smart modular design can go, delivering 33 luxury lodges that feel as refined as any five-star hotel..
“Less is more is officially over.”
Built far from the fjords
Each of the 33 lodges started life not on the windswept Lofoten coast, but inside Timbeco’s factory in Estonia. There, every module was built in a controlled environment. Walls, floors, ceilings and all. “Working off-site gave us total control over quality and timing,” says Erki Muhu, marketing and ESG manager at the Estonian construction company Timbeco. “It also meant less risk from unpredictable weather once we got to Norway.”
The modules were then transported to their final destination above the Arctic Circle. Once on site, installation moved quickly. “We could assemble the main structure and have it weatherproof in just a few days,” Muhu explains. “That’s something you simply can’t achieve with traditional building.”
Precision and consistency
For a project of this size, getting every detail right was non-negotiable. Clicwall wall panels arrived pre-cut to the exact height, which meant no measuring, no waste and no surprises. Just consistent quality, ready to be installed straight from the factory line.
“This was a big reason why we chose to work with Clicwall. In addition, the Uniclic system made interior assembly fast and precise. Panels clicked together perfectly during production,” Muhu notes. “So by the time the modules shipped to Norway, all surfaces were already installed and finished.”
And because of the strong Uniclic connection, Clicwall panels don’t suffer from cracked joints like gypsum boards during transport between the production site and installation. Your wall keeps its clean look, so no touch-ups or repairs needed.
Inside the lodges, Clicwall Oslo Oak soft beige sets the tone with its warm, natural look.
Being able to colour match with HPL and melamine helped us create an interior where wall panels, doors and furniture fit together effortlessly.”

Made for real life
A luxury lodge has to make an impression on day one, and still shine for years to come. Muhu: “It’s one thing to impress guests once; it’s another to keep that standard season after season.” As Clicwall’s scratch- and stain-resistabeinnt surfaces were made for high-traffic spaces, they’re the perfect choice for holiday rentals with constant guest turnover. “Durability was a top priority,” Muhu adds. “We wanted materials that still look fresh after countless guests.”
