UniCHIP P5

Definition

UniCHIP P5 is a wood chipboard suitable for structural applications in humid spaces, in accordance with service class 2 according to standard EN 1995-1-1:2004.

Description

UniCHIP P5 is a three-layer board with an extra highly densified centre core and a level sanded surface layer on the top and bottom faces of the board. During the manufacturing process, the MUF glue is compressed with the chips at a high temperature and the glue is distributed evenly to ensure optimum adhesion. This board is mainly used as cover board for roof elements and as supporting floor and partition panels. UniCHIP P5 is made of wood from sustainable, managed forests of non-controversial origin.

Properties

  • High-dense core
  • Fine sanding quality
  • Very strong technical characteristics
  • Extremely low swelling (P5 MUF glue)
  • Low formaldehyde content (E1)
  • Green colouring

Applications

UniCHIP P5 is the best choice for structural applications subjected to high loads in humid locations such as roof systems, attic floors and wall panels. Thanks to the typical P5 MUF glue, swelling in the event of direct contact with water is lower that with standard chipboard boards.
